Services offered:
Individual counseling-Individuals of all ages can take part in the highest quality one on one counseling provided by a licensed counselor. This environment ensures complete privacy to work on some of the many issues individuals face such as: adjustment issues, relational issues, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, depression, self esteem, trauma etc.
Couples counseling-At some point in any relationship issues arise that cause complications and interfere with what was once was a loving and committed relationship. Sometimes these relationships fail but more often than not they can be saved. Often times the roots of relationship issues come down to a lack of communication that is tied to either one or both partner's inability to hear the other or their inability to communicate their wants, needs and desires. Through counseling, couples can learn more about the dynamics of communication, the needs of their partner and can also learn more about themselves.
Family counseling-Family dynamics are very complicated. A family is a machine with many parts, hearts and minds. When families work as a team this machine runs very well, but when they work at cross purposes things get very complicated and confused. Families, like machines, break down without proper maintenance. Family counseling can help families who are not communicating properly, that are working at cross purposes or are in some way dysfunctional. Family counseling is not about finding blame, but about finding solutions to help make changes in order to improve the situation for all.
Interventions-There are times when no matter how hard you have tried to help someone they continue to follow a path that can lead to destruction. Often times loved ones will not know what to say or what to do in such a situation, or they will attempt to help the individual but will fail. Clinical interventions offer an opportunity to work with a clinical professional in order to effectively communicate with loved ones that there are issues that need to be resolved. With help from a professional, clients can learn to communicate their feelings in a non-threatening environment. Clients can learn ways to ensure that they will be heard as well as to learn ways to better listen to others. Clients will learn how to communicate their needs and desires as well as to set boundaries. Interventions are often a precursor to the loved one entering treatment.
Child/Adolescent services-Growing up is not easy and we are not born with instruction sheets. Children often have issues as their bodies and minds continue to grow. Often times issues of stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss as well as adjustment and behavior interfere with their everyday life, school or general performance. At the center children and adolescents can meet with a certified and licensed counselor who is also a certified school counselor. They can learn ways to improve their current situations, find hope and make lasting changes.
Outreach services-CCC understands that not every person is physically able to come to the office for services. When necessary the clinical professional will go to the school, facility or other location to meet the client. This service is especially useful for clients who are physically disabled or bedridden.
Referral services-CCC offers many great services for clients but one place can never offer everything a client needs. When necessary we offer referrals to companies or organizations that are better prepared to help with an given situation (such as housing, heat or medical related matters).
Public awareness seminars-Not everyone is in immediate need of therapy. However most people are interested in learning more about relationships, adjustment, coping, stress and other issues. Through a series of public seminars CCC assists the public to learn more about themselves and others. Seminar themes have included: coping with stress; communicating with your lover; learning to cope with loss; how to reduce school violence; when love hurts-how to end an abusive relationship; how to know when your drinking or other drug use is leading or has lead to addiction; meeting your needs; plus many more.
Clinical Supervision-The Director of CCC, Dr. Warren Corson III, is an Approved Clinical Supervisor who has worked in the human services in many capacities since 1990. He offers clinical supervision to individuals who are pursuing certification and or licensure and well as to clinicians who are in private practice or otherwise need the services of a clinical supervisor.
