SF ER IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT. I have worked for this hospital for many years and refuse to go to this ER (for adults, IF PATIENT IS A CHILD SF is your best bet!). Saint John s has its problems but is my hospital of choice by comparison. I have been a patient in both facilities many times. Other areas of the hospital are good, even excellent, but the ER has a real problem with the staff and some of it s policies.
Unfortunatley waiting and security issues are all part of the ER experience. Everyone must exercise patience in this regard. AT SF YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SEE YOUR SICK/INJURED LOVED ONE IF THEY ARE BEHIND THE GLASS BUT NOT IN A ROOM YET . THIS IS A RIDICULOUS POLICY AND THEY DO NOT CARE!!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE THAT YOUR LOVED ONE IS ALONE AND SCARED!!!
