First of March my dog woke with a lump on her face. Took her to Thayns office where he said it was a bruise, gave her antibiotics and antiinflamatories. Week later there was no change, took her back in, he said it was probably an abscess of some sort. He did no, X-rays, no biopsy nothing. Kept her on same meds. 2 weeks later, took her back in, he decided he should lance it. I asked him on the first and second visits if she had cancer, he said "no" both times but felt if he lanced it then it would drain and heal. So he did, kept her still on the same meds and sent her home. Her face was getting worse. I took her to another Vet who did X-rays, blood work and biopsies. My dog had a squamous cell carcinoma that was feeding off the infection caused by "dr" Thayn lancing it. I took her to Oncology in Salt Lake and they told me had he never opened it, they could have removed it and saved her life!!! They said they would be glad to write a letter. She passed away 1 week later!! I have never seen such an act of malpractice. And he just acts like it's another day, no big deal, no care to him. That little dog was my life, my service animal, emotional dependable animal and he killed her. Nothing from him, not an apology, no responsability, nothing. He owes me. I'll speak to an atty.
Personally he should replace my dog. If it wasn't for him, she'd still be here. Do not take your pet to this place. There is an awesome vet on U.S. 10. Go there.
