I thought their pricing was very fair. I have been to other places that charge an arm and a leg and I was happy to see that they weren't one of them. This veterinarian was so incredibly compassionate when my pet was sick. They consoled me when I was upset and even gave me a hug. I have had pets all my life and have never found a veterinary office this good. Of course at times vets have to do unpleasant procedures on the pets, but they always demonstrate care and compassion. I really trust them and so do my pets. I'm sure it's no surprise that my pet hates going to the vet, but what a relief to find an animal hospital that is so dedicated to making your pets experience as pleasant as possible. They never separate you from your pet and I was able to stay within "save me" range the whole time. No taking pets behind closed doors like other places I've been too. The kennels and holding area for pets were so clean and spotless, I would recommend them for sure if you need to leave your pet for a few days.
Whats written above is the automated draft created from answering the survey questions that are asked before the actual review. Below is my actual review of Dr. Pritchard.
I have been taking my dogs to Dr Pritchard since the 80's and really do not see how anyone could give a negative review of any part of her practice. If I had to pick one thing I like the most about her it would be the length of time, even if her waiting area is packed, that she will spend answering all of my questions and also any information I need to be aware of like how to give medicine and what it does. In other words, she will do whatever is necessary to make sure I am reassured and satisfied with my dog's visit before walking out the door.
She is also well versed in treating other animals than just cats & dogs. There are more than enough employees who will go the extra mile to make sure the patients are checked in and tended to, especially if one is in a lot of pain.
The entire facility is kept clean and care is taken to make sure ALL areas of the hospital are kept as sanitary as possible. There have been a few times when I have had to call her "after hours" and I have always received a call back from her or another vet within 20 minutes. There was one time when they had closed on a late evening and were mopping up and daily cleaning and even then they unlocked the door for me and tended to my dog. It was an emergency and they could have ignored my knocking and my dog most likely would have bled to death. So, if you are looking for me to say something negative about Dr Pritchard then it's best that you not hold your breath.
I have had to have two dogs put down by her because of old age and sickness and I honestly cannot think she could be more caring than anyone. When I had to say goodbye to my dog Sonny last year I think it hurt her as much as it did me and my wife and afterwards she offered to bury Sonny at her home. How nice and caring is that? !!!!!
I have not seen her since Sonny left us and she deserves all the thanks anyone could give a person. I just have not been able to go inside or speak to her because of the last memory I have of my dog. He was very special to me and that's exactly how she treated him, like a member of her family. I have more respect for her than I do for anyone outside of my family.
So yeah, I think she is a pretty awesome veterinarian as well as a very caring person.
