I had been told that I was developing cataracts for several years, but was reluctant to submit to surgery. Eventually, my poor vision during night time driving prompted me to look for an ophthalmologist. I ended up having Dr. Harrison (The Columbia River Eye Center) perform cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I had high hopes going into surgery and the results were even better. I was surprised at how bright colors were after surgery and I no longer have to wear glasses for distance vision. Dr. Harrison and staff were great guiding me through the surgery process and answering all my questions along the way.

Having never felt the need to write a review, the entire experience with Columbia River Eye Center cannot go without comment. Now living out-of-state, my brief visit to the Mid-Columbia region left little flexibility in my schedule, but the need for cataract surgery was crucial.

From the first telephone call to the final visit, everyone at the Columbia River Eye Center were courteous, professional, seamlessly combining proficiency with a healthy measure of empathy. The staff took exceptional steps to accommodate my timetable confines and physical disability. At the time, the surgeon’s schedule was full for many weeks, but Dr. Harrison readily adjusted his calendar to oblige my limitations.

Having no one to accompany me after surgery, the doctor and staff suggested and completed several special arrangements to assure my safety. They cheerfully helped, taking me to a nearby hotel after surgery and retrieving me the following day for my follow-up exam.

Their unsurpassed flexibility, compassion, and going far beyond any expectation I would ordinarily anticipate from professionals, allows me to make my recommendation for Columbia River Eye Center without hesitation or constraint.
