The Westfield Counseling Center specializes in working with individuals, couples and families who want to make positive changes in their lives. The WCC has successfully treated individuals who are suffering from depression and anxiety as well as couples and families who are stuck and in need assistance with a particular situation.
WCC’s therapeutic style is interactive and supportive and her approach to treatment includes Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapies.
The WCC has extensive experience helping people reduce the negative effects of life’s stressors. This ranges from interpersonal issues in relationships with significant others, colleagues or friends to making decisions regarding one’s career, medical care, family, etc.
The Westfield Counseling Center helps her patients navigate through life-cycle events (i.e. marriage, having children, loss of a loved one) so as to reduce the emotional challenges that simultaneously occur. Through the therapeutic process, Lauren helps her patients gain an understanding of how these and other life experiences (i.e. divorce) tap into a wide array of emotions and how to successfully move forward to live a happy and productive life.
The Westfield Counseling Center has successfully helped caregivers restore balance in their lives so that they are not solely focused on caring for others. This includes people caring for aging parents, siblings, typically developing children as well as young or adult children who have developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, spectrum disorders or chronically medical and/or mental illnesses.
