I saw Tami for well over a year (two?) and made significant progress with my issues. The only reason I stopped seeing her is because we moved, and honestly we drove from Atlanta to Montgomery several times in an attempt to keep the same therapist.

Most of my sessions with Tami were on an individual basis, but there were some that included my husband, and even one with all three of us, including my young son.

In all of that time, Tami NEVER did ANY of the things mentioned in the prior review. She was always attentive, warm, personable, no-nonsense, professional and calming. The office was clean, warm and comfortable. She even allowed me to add my personal touch (a throw pillow). I searched for over a decade trying to find someone else as good as she is.

If you are scared to see a therapist, please give her a try. If you have abuse issues, then PLEASE PLEASE just go talk to her once. You will not regret it.

This was my first time to a therapist of any sort and I was thoroughly disappointed. Ms. Jenkins office was disorganized and sloppy which was more than a little distracting through our sessions. She was forgetful, causing me to repeat not only things I had told her in previous sessions, but even things during that same session, sometimes within minutes of my telling her. During the sessions she would walk to her filing cabinet behind me while I was speaking and rummage through, pull out a snack, and start eating in front of me. How are you paying attention to my needs when you are so focused on your 'lunch'? During one session, she answered her cell phone/business phone, TWICE! And when she got off the phone with the client, proceeded to tell me about the clients current issues and the purpose of the woman's call. (She had many 'stories' to share about previous/current clients who might relate to my current situation) Also, for the same session, I arrived 20 min early, and at 25 min PAST my appointment time, she pulled up in the parking lot and then offered only a half hearted apology about never having enough time to run errands. It then took her another ten minutes to get settled in and find my file (after not so discreetly looking at her appointment book to figure out who she was meeting with at the moment). She was mostly negative about my situation, offering no form of support, hope or advice and was almost persistent in trying to persuade me that my husband was having an affair and that it was the ONLY explanation for our marital issues. Absolutely would not recommend Ms. Jenkins to anyone, for anything.
