Their staff is very professional. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I would probably go back. I didn't have a bad experience. It’s hard to rate the experience. I only went one time. I was accompanying someone that was not ready to accept counseling. So the patient/client was not forth coming with the counselor. But I was comforted to know that there is a Christian counselor in our area that has expertise on the subject matter of which the patient/client had a particular problem. If I need counseling in the future I would probably use them again. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. When I called to make the appointment the subject matter in which I needed to discuss was extremely personal. She made me feel very comfortable. In fact it was due to her graciousness that we decided to use them over other counseling agencies. She made me feel at ease when discussing personal matters. I am also glad that there is a counseling agency that is practices based on Christian principles. I have received counseling in the past from a secular counselor, although I liked the counselor I was sometimes unsure if the advice and opinions given were coincided with my personal Christian values.

I visited for the first time today. This visit was going to be my last attempt at finding a grief counselor. The receptionist and therapist asked me if I wanted a bottle of water. I didn't have all the paperwork filled out so the therapist took me in his room to finish while he read my notes I had given him. He even went over the time a little and when I said something he said it would be okay. What I loved most is the therapist (Craig) got right to the main problem I was having at that moment. I felt renewed and that I had hope again that I would get through this, not over it. When I made my appointment late, the person had their cell phone with them to make appointments. She dropped what she was doing and made it. The atmosphere was pleasant and no loud music was playing. I felt that they really cared about me and my well-being. It was such a nice gesture that made a huge difference. I was so impressed with the suggestions for getting over grief, homework, and reading material suggestions, as well as, other home issues to get me back on track. Now THAT IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. Not someone to tell me to get over it, but someone to show me the process of getting THROUGH it. I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. I would recommend "Life Matters" to anyone needing any kind of counseling.
