I started my first therapy sessions as an adult with Peter. The more I fought the process, the more I struggled. Letting go into your 'self' is vital work. This is a great place to get started with that. Years later, as I now realize my true mission in this life, I understand how important those early sessions with Peter were. If you are questioning whether you should make an appointment, don't...do it right now.

Peter collens is not a real therapist but more of a mentor or guru. He holds a BA degree and nothing more. He has very little understanding of the therapeutic process, trust building, and transference. He did me more harm then good with his lack of understanding about dissasociation and how to help me when I used this powerful defense. I saw this "provider" for years and in retrospect he abused his power over and over again. When I finally landed in the office of a real psychotherapist, it took me the first year to sort out the damage that had been done by this man and our disfunctional relationship. How the state of Vermont allows uneducated, people to mess with the psychy of others is amazing to me. They should rethink there policies.
