I had a really negative experience with a previous therapist. He was empathic, intelligent & helpful....until I had a problem with him. I.E. he sometimes wouldn't return my calls for an appt. until weeks later. When I confronted him, he was cold & dismissive. I was naturally skeptical about trying counseling again. But at my first appt. with Stuart, I felt a sense of trust that I never had with the previous counselor. His genuine warmth and perceptive insight have helped me identify and accept areas of shame that I had tried to bury. He also takes care to own up to his own mistakes. And I'm a healthier person for it.
