I have been very unhappy with Independence Village. They charge a tremendous amount, which is understandable because they provide food, maid service, maintenance, etc. The problem is that though they say they provide those services, they don't actually follow through and do them.

You have no choice but to take their maid service, etc. If the maid even shows up she just walks through the apartment and doesn't even dust. She takes the bedding, but that is it. I have registered several maintenance requests, even beginning the day I first moved in and they have not been done. The food is atrocious and portions are way too small.

I would suggest that you look elsewhere for this type of facility. The director here doesn't take her job seriously. She makes promises, but never follows through. Sometimes she can at least seem nice, but other times she is quite rude. She doesn't understand the meaning of customer service.

The place was not clean. There was no one at the front desk. Anyone off the street can walk in and roam the building. I have never seen a coupon for this provider, nor do they ever have specials or promotions going on. I don't think they like to help people save money. The building appeared to be poorly maintained.
