When this home was turned into a memoir care facility, they upped their game, however, has gone down hill since. I have witnessed neglect with my own eyes. The residents are left alone most time, they have no activities for the residents, therefore are often found either wandering where they shouldn't be, or left lying in bed or sitting in their own feces. The staff are not trained for caring for dementia patients, they are unprofessional with their conduct, dress attire, grooming and uneducated. My loved one resided there, thank God I pulled them out before anything else happened. They need to be shut down, inspected and condemned.

There is no way I ever would have gone to this place if I had known how horrible it was going to be. I'm definitely not going to be recommending it to any of my friends or family. Their staff was somewhat friendly, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I eventually found a spot after cruising around a little bit. I wish they had more convenient parking available. Their staff is always answering their cell phones when they're supposed to be helping patients. It's so rude and unprofessional. They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods.
The rooms and dining room may have gotten a cosmetic makeover but the smell in many of them is unbearable. Residents were left unattended in the hallways and in the front "common" room. Many of the residents we passed were unkempt, slovenly, and smelled strongly of body odor, urine, and feces. We were visiting a former neighbor of ours who had been placed on hospice, and upon entering his room, we encountered a bevy of flies that were swarming around plates of food that had been left by his bedside. We went to fill a cup of water from the bathroom and the water was brown. When we asked a staff member about this we were told the water in the restrooms was not to be used for drinking ( yet this water is used to bathe the residents and for them to wash their face and brush their teeth with). We could not find his personal tv remote, electric razor, cell phone, or watch. When we enquired about these items at the front desk, we were told that only his cell phone was found and that it was being held at the desk for "safety reasons" . We left and returned the following evening, only to find the same conditions. We were also very concerned about a full body rash that was obviously painful and when we inquired about it, we were told that several residents had the same condition but not to worry because " it isn't scabies even though people think it is". After having visited the second time and finding the conditions deplorable, we contacted the county's adult protective services. Please, DO NOT place your family member there!
