I made an appointment with this vet approximately 2-3 weeks ago for a spay and neuter of my 2 dogs. I made sure to let the receptionist know that one of my dogs was a 9 month old Rottweiler and has protective tendencies. I drove 45 minutes from my house to this vet on several of my friends recommendations. When I arrived at the veterinarians the vet assistant came to get my Rott; the receptionist asked if he would go back "easily" I stated probably no, but I'd be happy to help. My Rott was anxious and being a handful. The receptionist literally yelled he's not going to bite us is he. I told her he has not bitten anybody, but he is a big dog with protective tendencies. After I helped put him in his kennel, without issue, and was going over the final paper work the veterinarian came in. Reeking of cigarette smoke and without even addressing my wife and I the doctor spoke directly to her assistant and with a very sour tone stated yeah that ones going to be a problem I'm probably not even going to be able to do him. When my wife asked a question of the doctor, the doctor snapped at my wife that she's not going to get hurt. I then asked if I could assist and hold my Rott when the anesthesia is being administered. The doctor snapped "I can't do it right now I have appointments to see." This infuriated my wife and I as we had made an APPOINTMENT for two dogs. Completely upset with both the doctor's and the receptionist's attitude and demeanor we immediately got both of our dogs and drove back home. On the positive side the two assistants that helped us were extremely professional, courteous, and polite.
