I have taken 2 pets to this location. The first time the staff was kind and helpful. The second time was on Mother's Day, my dog (a Boston Terrier) was having episodes where he was not breathing and was falling over. The check in was welcoming and the tech that came in was kind also. However, when Dr. Lawrence came in she was dismissive and would not listen to what I had to say about my pets current behavior and past behavior. She said he was having these episodes because my type of dog does not tolerate the heat well. When I tried to explain to her that he has never reacted to the heat in this manner she said "I'll say it again, this type of dog does not tolerate heat well." His body temp was slightly elevated, she did not touch my dog, she did not listen to his breathing or heart rate. Her diagnosis was to go to the pet store and to get the scrunchy that goes around his collar and get it wet with cool water to keep him cool, and to give him a shot to calm him down to stop his episodes.
He continued to have the passing out spells all night and after taking him to my Vet on Monday, the vet came in the room, took the time to listen to me, listened to his breathing and heart rate, and noticed immediately that his heart rate was dropping to almost 30 beats per minute and then going back up.

My dog is very sick and had Dr. Lawrence taken the time to actually examine him maybe she would have noticed it too!!!! But for whatever reason she chose to dismiss me and my comments about his behavior.

I would take my animals there again but I will make sure it is not Dr. Lawrence taking care of them.
