Drs. James and Stephanie Phelan have been in practice in the Vicksburg and central Mississippi area since 1997 and have treated tens of thousands of patients in that time. We are both Graduates of Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. Stephanie completed her residency training at the James A Haley Veterans Administration in Tampa, Florida in 1997. James performed his residency training in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery at the Baltimore Veterans Administration in 1996. The practice focuses on all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery, including but not limited to diabetic foot care, pediatric foot care and correction, as well as geriatric foot care and nursing home services.

Services Consult with the patient and other physicians on how to prevent foot problems. Diagnose and treat tumors, ulcers, fractures, skin and nail diseases, and deformities. Perform surgeries to correct or remedy such problems as bunions, clawtoes, fractures, hammertoes, infections, ruptured Achilles, and other ligaments and tendons. Prescribe therapies and perform diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and lab tests. Prescribe or fits patients with inserts called orthotics that correct walking patterns.
