The doctor was somewhat unfriendly. I felt like I wasn't really welcome there by him. This provider makes no effort to get my view on things - didn't listen. He took less than 5 minutes for the entire appointment and still charged just under $300. The staff was very friendly and professional, which I appreciated. I felt welcome during my visit by staff but not by this doctor. He was dismissive condescending and recommended something that would have actually made things worse had I actually done it. I heard similar comment from two others who saw him, as I did, since my regular doc was out of the office.
They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. They are always prepared for my appointment and remember everything about me. The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for. Just as a side note, this business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and close to all kinds of shops. I was able to do my shopping for the week right after my appointment. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance.
Ok, now that the automated stuff is done, I can add that Dr. Moen seems to be a very decent and conscientious Dr. I came in with swollen armpits and he spent a great deal of time going over all the things in my environment and behavior that it could possibly be caused by. He also did a careful physical examination of course. finally he listed all the potential tests like chest x-rays and cat scans that we could do, but in the end he said he didn't think they were necessary and it would probably go away on its own - which it pretty much has.
This guy seems to actually give a crap about his patients and doesn't seem inclined to order tons of useless tests like other doctors do to cover their ass or because they piece of the testing revenue. The pseudo hypochondriac in me probably would have preferred that he do a bunch of blood work and other stuff, but in the end the swelling was probably because I did start working out(lifting weights) about the same time it started.
Overall, good doctor, seems to actually give a sh1t, and I plan to keep going to him for the forseeable future. My $.02
