Dr. M. Widener is very knowledgeable and has helped us with our cat and her rare disease. We thought she was going to die, and she would have probably, if we didn't find Dr. Widener. He is very thorough (and I don't mean he runs tons of unnecessary tests). He has a wealth of knowledge and I'm really relieved to have found him. He is as good if not better than our old vet that we took our animals to for years in CA. As for prices - i feel he is reasonable if not less expensive than other area vets. I cannot stress enough how smart and informed he is. He KNOWS animals. I dare to say that if he can't help your pet no one can.
