Established in 1978, we recently transitioned from Buckley Veterinary Clinic to Buckley Veterinary Hospital as we continue to enhance our technology to offer the best care to our medical family.
The Buckley Veterinary Clinic opened it's doors in 1978 offering small and large animal services in the South King County and Pierce County areas. In December of 1996 we moved to our beautiful new clinic on Hwy 410 in Buckley expanding our abilities to meet the needs of our patients and their owners.
When Dr. Gran retired, Dr. Dennette Wood purchased Buckley Veterinary Hospital in early 2009, after spending five and a half years working at the Timber Ridge Veterinary Clinic in Bonney Lake, as well as some time at Country Animal Hospital in Enumclaw.
She is a Northwest native, having grown up in Portland. Dr. Wood received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, then headed east to the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine just as Dr. Gran did several years earlier.

Buckley Veterinary Hospital is a comprehensive small animal practice based on a solid foundation of caring staff and experienced doctors combined with equipment to best serve our community, clients and their four-legged companions. Our practice prides itself in being a one-stop facility, equipped with an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, on-site radiology, dentistry and surgical suites. We are in contact with the best referral and board-certified veterinarians in the state, should the need arise for on-site diagnostics/treatment or access to off-site specialist consultations.
