Education Dr. Zylstra received his B.S. in Veterinary Science from Michigan State University in 1988 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 1992. He grew up in Grandville, MI and graduated from Calvin Christian High School. During Veterinary school, he developed a passion for Cardiology and Ultrasonography, pursuing both areas of study after graduation through specialized continuing education classes. Dr. Zylstra has a love of learning and makes it his priority to stay up to date on current research, diagnostics, and treatments by attending annual continuing education conferences.

Services We offer an on-site, full service laborratory, x-rays and ultrasound for complete work-ups and rapid diagnosis. Our surgery suite allows us to perform routine and advanced surgeries as well as routine and extensive dentistry care. Dr. Zylstra offers specialized cardiac and abdominal ultrasound services and sees referrals from all over Michigan and Indiana.

I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. I couldn't believe how great their office looked. It was very obvious that they took pride in the office's appearance. It was one of the best looking offices I've ever seen. Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered. One thing I loved about this vet was that they definitely care about my pet and that all my questions and concerns are answered. They have the best prices around, too!
