Dr Hess took over hospital operations in 1983 and began the birth of the modern Winter Park Veterinary Hospital. A large renovation in 2001 allowed the premises to finally match the quality of medicine at the hospital. Our state of the art hospital facilities incorporate over 8,000 square feet completely dedicated to the health and well-being of your pet. In 2009, Dr Hess realized a long held dream in his quest for complete animal care when he opened the WPVH Training and Behavior Center. Now, Winter Park is truly a complete animal care facility.

They were boarding our parakeet for us as they had in the past. The doctor called early on Monday saying our parakeet had probably had a heart attack. That he was fine the 2 times he stopped in on Sunday but was on the bottom of the cage Monday morning. No one answered how or why this could happen. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The dragged out a sad situation by messing up our final bill by charging for 11 days boarding when our parakeet had died on the 3rd day.
