He received his thoracic and cardiovascular surgical training at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation Hospitals in Cleveland Ohio. He is board certified in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery as well as in general surgery. In addition Dr. Katske completed his oncology training at the Roswell Park Cancer Memorial Institute in New York and is certified in thoracic surgical oncology, head and neck surgical oncology and general surgical oncology.
