I went to Dr. Dubiel for about a year for HRT. Dr. Dubiel knows her stuff and I felt the best I had felt in years with the HRT treatment plan she had me on. That was the good part. If I only had to deal with the doctor I would still be going, but I stopped going because of her assistant Michelle who manages the front desk, appointments and restricts your contact with the doctor. She is AWFUL, RUDE, HORRIBLE person and should not be in that job. I ran out of my HRT creams and didn't realize that in order to get a refill I needed new blood-work. I called and she talked down to me like I was stupid. I asked if I could get a faxed order for bloodwork and she told me I should already have it done and that it wasn't her fault I was so careless. I wasn't blaming her I was trying to get my issue resolved. She just wants to blame the patients and make their lives miserable. She said she would call in the bloodwork WHEN she had time. I asked when that would be and she refused to give a day just said in the next couple of days. I gave it a couple of days and went to get my bloodwork done - no order called in. I called the office to remind her and she told me I was being ridiculous and really starting to bother her. I went to the lab 3 days in a row - no order. I called and asked to speak to Dr. Dubiel - no call back. I'm sure she never gave her the message. By this time I was completely out of my prescription and asked if I could get a 30 day refill until I could get the bloodwork done. She told me it was a controlled substance (like I'm a crack addict) and I did this to myself. That was it- I was done. Why would anyone let this woman interact with patients??? Dr. Dubiel is a smart woman and I can't believe she can't see what this woman is doing to her practice. I would consider going back if Michelle was gone.
Please excuse my unbridled emotion and non-clinical endorsement, but I LOVE Dr. Dubiel! She is so empathic and kind. I've heard another doctor speak highly of her, and in my grad-school estimation, she is brilliant. She's an Internist AND Integrative Medicine practitioner, yet respectful of my questions, no matter how elementary, taking the time to answer them all. After my husband saw a substantial improvement in my health and attitude, he started going to Dr. Dubiel, too, and is now getting the holistic help he needs. He really appreciates Dr. Dubiel's approach and thoroughness, compared to his previous doctor group, where he was shuffled between different doctors and technicians who never got to know him. Dr. Dubiel and receptionist Michelle are both so much fun to talk to, it's more like going to visit friends than to the doctor's office.
