Do NOT use bio-identical HRT pellets from this office. You will be stuck with the results for 3-6 months! She charged me extra "due to the amount of hormones" she gave me. I ended up with more testosterone than 17 yr old males have - for 6 + months! (WAY out of range for women) Then she said to take 2+times the progesterone to "counteract" the miserable effects of the testosterone (constant unbearable sex drive, excess hair growth on body/face, cystic zits on face, agressive, weight gain). She underquoted the cost of the compounded progesterone. This ended up being a super expensive, miserable experience. She doesn't seem to have any idea what she is doing. This office is more interested in selling products. Research other docs - don't do a pellet the 1st time!

I have been going to Camelback Healthcare for 3+ years. I have had three annual checkups, a pregnancy test when I found out I was pregnant, and they found my Hashimoto's Disease before I even felt the effects. I had always been seen in a timely manner, treated with care, and left feeling heard. However, I will absolutely not be returning because of the owner of the practice- Dr. Reed. I made an appointment to get my hormone levels checked, a simple blood test. She berated me for coming in at all because of my age. She allowed me to ask zero questions. When I explained that a previous doctor at this practice had suggested I get this testing done she essentially told me I was lying. She called me crazy followed by saying, "What you need is a psych eval!" She finished with, "I will still be billing your insurance, so they know what you're all about." I honestly don't even know what that means, but it was clear that she meant it as an insult. She finished all of this with kicking me out of the office. Literally escorted me out. I had my hands full with my 1 year old son, a stroller, and all of his things because I had been rushed out. She stood at the door yelling, "Goodbye, have a great day, buh-bye, you can go now," all while I fumbled with all of my things to try to get out of the office door in front of the entire waiting room. This was THE wildest experience of my life. I had no idea how to effectively advocate for myself initially, because I had never experienced anything like it. Luckily, I called my insurance company and they walked me through how to place a complaint with the state. Please do yourself a favor and keep looking for a doctor that will treat all patients with respect and care.
