I provide psychotherapy primarily to adults, either as individuals or couples. Common issues I encounter involve: anxiety, depression, grief, guilt, embarrassment, shame, anger, relationship difficulties, problems with communicating, work stress, life transitions, loss, psychophysiological disorders, and post-traumatic stress (including those with physical and sexual abuse in their histories). With more than 35 years of broad-ranged experience, I aim to help people manage their lives with greater satisfaction.
ServicesI recognize that most of the problems that people encounter have causes that do not stem from their physiology. I help people by teaching communication skills, knowledge of relationships, emotional peace, and self-acceptance. I encourage people to explore many life choices available to them, instead of being "stuck in a rut." I prize a person's individual dreams and history as uniquely their own, and so guide them to unique solutions for life's problems. My main emphasis is on helping people change their thoughts, emotions, behavioral habits, and relationships through nonmedical means.
