I went here to see Shea Finklea Emery after she won the best of the Delta. She did a good job on my hair, but I couldn't get past her rude personality. Immediately after I sat down in her chair, she started badmouthing the client who just left. I was a new client that she didn't even know. It was very unprofessional. She said about the client, "There's not much you can do when you have a big melon head! She wasn't satisfied with anything I did!" And she went on and on. Then she began to make conversation and ask me about myself. When I told her I worked with abused children, she immediately started saying, "That's a waste of time. They'll never change! The problem around here is that too many parents want to be friends with their kids, and they don't discipline them!" Then she went on about how she never wants to have kids. I was flabbergasted that she would say it was a waste of time to work with abused children and basically treat them as if they were in the wrong. I was very put off by Shea. In only a few minutes time she was badmouthing her other clients and even children to me, a new client and total stranger. Then she used a comb to flick a dead roach off of her cart that contains all of her tools, and she continued to use the comb on my hair! It didn't seem to even cross her mind that it was nasty. I wish I was making this up. Her bad attitude, unprofessionalism, and unsanitary practices are just unacceptable. I will never be back to this salon at all.
