My son got married on June 17th and my daughter, sister and myself needed to have our hair washed and blown dry. I checked many salons and felt safe using an Aveda salon. We live in NY and felt we should have our hair done professionally since we were concerned with humidity and we felt your salon would be familiar with those conditions.

Out of three of us - my daughter's hair looked very nice and we were pleased. My sister and I - well let's just say we were not pleased. I brought in 4 photos from several angles just so that the person could see what I wanted. I have short hair and my hair is very easy to work with. As the young lady was combing in out - she was using a very large brush which gave me "big hair" which is not what I wanted. The side was blown back and always just falls into place. It did not fall into place that day - it was separated into 3 sections?? I finally kept on mentioned that she should look at the picture and finally I asked for the brush but I guess it was too late to recover my hair. My sister's hair looked terrible. I was quite upset and cried all the way back to the hotel. I had 30 minutes to get dressed and get to Duke Gardens for the wedding - I did not have time to wash my hair. I knew my hair did not look like what I requested but I really got upset when I just saw photos from the wedding. It is not a day that I can go back again to do over. I'm not sure if the person that took care of me was new but if not I can't believe she had much experience. I wanted to let you know of my experience - it was not good.

My daughter mentioned to me when we left her stylist said the person who did my hair was in training. I was not given that information when I booked the reservation. Since I have not heard from the manager of the salon, I would appreciate a response. The salon is in the Belk dept. store, durham, nc.
