I have been going to Avenue West for over a year now. I have never had a bad exeperience, and I get my hair cut/color and bikini wax from them. I'm not sure why the other person had a bad experience, but I can tell you that I feel they go above and beyond to make me comfortable and take extra care to make sure I have a good experience. The wax they use is the best and I have never had a cloth break on me. I would highly recommend them for any service - hair or wax! They are very professional and knowledgeable about the latest products, styles and techniques. Would highly recommend giving them a try if you are in the market for either service!

DO NOT wax here! I know sometimes accidents happen, but my experience was just ridiculous. There is no excuse for a lower leg wax to take over an hour. The employee acted as though it were completely routine for the wax not to come off, for adhesive paper to rip and end up stuck to my legs, and for her to end up plucking off big chunks of wax and leg hairs with a tweezer. Lucky for me it wasn't a bikini wax! I came close to walking out and probably should have. At ten minutes past an hour she pronounced herself done and had me look over her work. A few minutes later I stopped asking her to go over all the places she missed, because there were too many and I was fed up. My legs still sport patches of hair and I will have to go elsewhere once they recover. No apology or discount was offered.
