I took my 71yr old blind aunt to this salon for a hair cut and manicure. I spoke to both the salon manager and manicurist the day before her appointment because she had just moved to the area from Miami where she had frequented the same salon for 29 years and was nervous about this first visit. The manicurist never showed up and when we called she said she forgot because she didn't write the appointment down. A stylist offered to do my aunt's nails and both she and the manager said there would be no charge since the manicurist stood up our appointment. Then a different stylist whom she was to see for her haircut was 25 minutes late. TEXTING!!!! when he was already 10 minutes late to tell us he was still 15 minutes away. In total we waited 50 minutes. When I went to pay for the haircut - I was told the owner (who was here through the majority of this ordeal and never intervened) said we WOULD be charged for the manicure and charge full price for the haircut (which was a good cut and style). Owners of hair salons I have worked for in the past would have made sure that clients, who whom they had validated received poor service, walked out of there singing the salaon's praises because of their admission and consession through price breaks or gift certificates so the client one way or another gave the salon a wonderful review. Not one like this. Kudos to the stylist who helped my aunt.
