As a Board Certified Oral and Maxillo-facial Surgeon, Dr. Richard M. Wagner specializes in the treatment of disorders of the mouth, teeth, jaws and facial structures. He has extensive experience in all aspects of your care.

Dr. Wagner is specially trained to provide your care under the comfort of anesthesia. Most of our procedures are provided in our state of the art out--patient surgical office. In some special cases and where needed, care is provided in a hospital operating room. Dr. Wagner is on staff and performs his surgeries at area hospitals including Wheaton Franciscan / All Saints in Racine and Froedert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee.

We welcome and serve patients all across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois including; Racine, Kenosha, Union Grove, Milwaukee, Burlington, Waterford, Oak Creek, Franklin, Waukegan, Zion, Antioch, and Gurnee.

Education Graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Parkside in 1978 and the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1982.
Training Dr. Wagner completed his Internship at Brown V.A. Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. After that he went through his Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Anesthesia residencies at the Cleveland Metro Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio, associated with Case Western Reserve. He presently maintains his private practice in Racine, Wisconsin.
Certification Dr. Wagner is certified in anesthesia and administers intravenous anesthesia within the office setting. He is ACLS certified. Patients are well monitored during treatment with continuous EKG, Pulse Oximetry, Blood Pressure, and Pulse. Dr. Wagner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery, an honor given only after extensive written and oral examinations. He is a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons.
Office Staff Our staff is well trained, well informed and up-to-date. Maybe more importantly they are kind, gentle, caring and they enjoy what they are doing. We have selected our staff with particular concern for a warm, dedicated and efficient attitude. Please feel free to approach anyone on our staff if you have a question or concern. Dr. Wagner is uniquely trained in essentially all areas of surgical care involving the face and jaws including: anesthesia, tooth extractions, wisdom teeth, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery/orthognathic surgery, bone grafting, treatment of facial trauma, treatment of growths, cysts and tumors, pre-prosthetic surgery (surgery to aid in Denture treatment) and pediatric oral surgery.

Dr Wagner and his staff are amazing. He took his time to explain everything and made sure you understood before proceeding. He went over the risks and benefits and was very straight forward. He had adjusted the treatment plan prior to surgery to what would fit my care best as well as be most cost effective for me and I truly appriviated that (it’s not something you see happening to much these days). They made sure I was comfortable and eased any anxiety prior to starting the procedures. The staff was so friendly and spoke so highly of Dr Wagner and had the upmost confidence in him. I will recommend everyone to him.

First, and foremost, the medical care received by Dr. Wagner and his medical staff was exceptional.

However, BEWARE, billing was a disaster and bordered on predatory. The office did a poor job of disclosing what my insurance would cover and, instead, were solely focused on their bottom line (and not patient satisfaction/customer service).

There are plenty of other providers who balance both excellent care and customer service. Dr. Wagner's office does not. I recommend exploring other options.
