The floor staff (nurses and nursing assistants) was always caring, but administration was another story. My grandmother had a private room (which we paid extra for), she died late in the evening. We were told not to worry about her belongings, her room would not be touched. They said we could collect them anytime the next day. My family told them we would come back after making funeral arrangements. I went back by 10 am (while my mom was at the funeral home making arrangements) and all of my grandmother 's belongings had been moved out and was in various places all over the facility. No compassion or dignity given to my grandmother or my family in the end.
