Stonebridge purchased a long standing great assisted living facility in Pine Grove, PA. For four months, things were great. Then I (along with numerous other families) received a call giving me 30 days to move my father out because he cannot ambulate out of the building for a fire drill. In the middle of winter, and I -his only family member who resides in California. My father has been cared for and happy at Schoolyard Square for over two years, and the staff had reassured me that since he is also on hospice that he would be allowed to pass in the apartment he has been in since leaving his home. In telling the new owners of this agreement, the response was, well that was when the previous owners were here. Had I not been assured of this I would have perhaps put my dad somewhere else. This move is not going to be good for him. Not in the least.
