I just saw a video on youtube of Sephardic Nursing Home. The only accuracy of that video was that it is a Jewish nursing home with Jewish residents and that it holds some activities like ALL nursing homes do. They do not tell you that residents are left in soiled diapers for hours, that they are not cleaned properly, that scabies is passed on from resident to resident and floor to floor. They do not mention how so many of the CNA's do a terrible job feeding residents who can not feed themselves. They do not tell you how residents are lined up like cattle by the nursing station so staff can keep an eye on them while these poor elderly people sit and stare at the walls for indefinite periods of time with nothing to do. They do not mention how they never use creams and ointment on them after they are finally changed to avoid rashes and bed sores. They forget to mention that urinary track infections run high from lack of changing and sitting in soiled diapers for hours . They do not mention how they lie to family members about how they are doing on a daily basis.
That youtube video turned my stomach. PLEASE do not let them deceive you by painting a picture that does not exist. If your loved one is at the mercy of this home because they can not fend or speak for themselves they will rot. All they care about is your MONEY. After what my family member went through, i would not put a dog in there.
