The restrooms there weren't that clean, but they weren't out-of-control disgusting. As a healthcare worker having to pick up or return residents for various medical appts., I found resident care to be very poor there. Residents who didn't regularly have visitors were the ones most ignored as far as their personal hygiene and care. Many went for days in the same clothing, (you could tell they were left sleeping in them) and they hadn't been changed. Many were not given proper morning care (washed, hair combed, shaved, etc ), and it wasn't just my opinion....it was very obvious and noted by several of my co-workers. The place usually had the smell of urnine.....mostly because residents weren't changed often enough when they were incontinent. One resident we had to take for an appt. I needed to help the nurse get the resident's slacks off so the doctor could check the resident's legs, etc....I was totally disgusted, as was the nurse, to see the diaper he had on was yellow with dried on urine! The place is dingy looking....hasn't had a fresh coat of pain in the halls or rooms in a long time, and the colors are morbid! Dark and drab...and worn, scraped and dirty in many spots. Rooms are too over crowded with wheel chairs, walkers, etc...so trying to get residents in and out of bed onto a stretcher was always an "adventure" to say the least! Actually, as disorganized and crowded as the rooms are.....I often wondered how quickly staff could actually be able to get residents out in case of emergency like a fire or some other hazard! Many time we would arrive to pick up a residentt and while waiting for them to get the resident ready....we'd observe other residents sitting in the halls, etc.....slumped over in their wheelchairs...almost to the point of falling out. Several times we'd bring it to a nurse's attention and if they could find a nursing assistant, they would have the resident re-positioned. Several times we did it ourselves to prevent the resident from falling out of the chair. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I would never, ever place a loved one....or anyone there for care by any stretch of the imagination and....I've already threatened my husband if I ever needed to be in a nursing home setting and he sent me there.....I would come back and haunt him the rest of his life. The place is a hell-hole. A few, very few of the nursing staff seem to genuinely care about the residents but.....on the whole, I would say the majority don't and just put in their lazy time to collect a check. Very disorganized at the nurse's stations...I could go on, but.....need I say more?

some of the staff were great but overall they are not capable to handle trac care and please if you send a loved one there make sure you watch everything if they tell you they need treatments rightaway make sure you verbaly tell the staff all who you talk to they are to start treatments within the week.
