I have had a loved one placed here two times this year for rehab and am considering long term care there because of the convenience of the location to my home. I do have a couple things that irritates me though. Someone keeps turning the ringer to silent on my mother's personal cell phone. Now mind you I do not have the ringer turned up as loud as I had it when she was at my house in between stays there while waiting for surgery. They claimed my mother does this herself but my mother does not understand how to do that on this particular phone - she never has - its not like it has a side button to adjust the volume. My mother fell striking her head a couple weeks back and it seems she had another stroke. They called me saying its not an emergency and I truly believe the only reason they called 911 to take her to the hospital is because I went there demanding she go be checked, especially after recent brain surgery. Now tonight, they tell her she is longer allowed to have ice.

They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. They always go above and beyond to help me with anything I need. . I had a concern regarding how long it takes for my mom to get help going to the bathroom and hoping that is resolved.. There have been times that they've paid attention to my concerns, but recently got back a negative remark from an aid when I called to have them check on my mom. Many of the workers are pleasant and helpful, but there is ONE that stands out from the rest. Her name is Diane Walters. You can tell she loves her job and enjoys helping the people that are not able to help theirself. Ms. Walters makes my mom's stay at Heritage pleasant. I wish all the staff could be as eager and plesant to help the residents! I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them.
