It is incredible that people go into a field when it is clear that they DETEST attending to the care of the elderly and the infirmed. This is poor servicing of residents who are incontinent. Patients are often neglected. I recieved calls all the time when staff had caused bruises to my loved one. I would take my loved one to specialists who would spell out how to take care of my loved one right down to properly changing an adult diaper but my loved one would still sit for 3 to 4 owes in fecal material. I know I probably sound disgrunted and people say why not just move your loved one. It is not so easy to find better care and start oreintating new staff to how to take care of your loved one. I pray the lord blesses the residents at this facility because they are truly on their own.
The dealings I've had with this place was through my son, Anthony W Dalton. He was a patient there in 2014 from mid May to Mid August, with a blocked kidney and surgery.. He was a patient there again in 2015, early May to August 12, 2015 due to 3rd degree burns on his arms and hands and had to have skin graft surgery.. He was abruptly sent home, because he got the state health department involved in the poor treatment of the patients. However he was told it was because medicare and Medicaid would no longer pay. He was sent home with a very unstable blood sugar,, 23 days worth of meds and 3 sandwiches. He had not been home in over 3 months, no food in his house and he still had bandages. Home health nurses and workers were not set in place before he was sent home. His Medicaid transportation was not in place and none of his scripts were given him, that medicare had already paid for. He had pictures of sleeping nurses on his phone, that was suppose to be working. Dirty dishes and kitchen equipment and dead bugs he found in his room, during his stay. He sought the help of an Ombusman, which tried to help him some, but it was too little, too late. The social worker at Heartland assigned to Anthony quit and you all did not assign him a new person, to get all his home health care, nurses, prescriptions and transportation in place, before you kicked him out. He got home to find his house had been robbed and squatted in for some time. His diabetes was uncontrolled when you kicked him out and your doctors and nursing staff knew that. On August 22, 2015 Anthony passed away due to his sugar level bottoming out and stopping his heart. You all are the most ruthless, heartless, disgusting people I have ever heard about. I absolutely despise everyone of you and I and trying to find an attorney to take my case of a wrongful death suit against you all. Anthony would still be alive today had you all treated him as you should and gotten his diabetes under control. Even if you needed to send him back to the hospital to get his meds regulated, before he went home. I am going to try my best to get your place closed or at least accountable for your unprofessional, uncaring, heartless so called nursing home/rehab center closed. I do not want money from you folks, but punishment for you for the wrongful death of my son. This business is a joke and a danger to all the patients residing there. This thing won't let me submit without at least a 1 star rating. However I actually think it should be minus many stars.
