Great River Care Center is a 50-bed, 24-hour skilled nursing facility in McGregor, Iowa. We offer both private and semi-private accommodations. Each resident room is furnished with a bed, bedside dresser, and closet. We encourage all resident who reside here to personalized their rooms with pictures, mementos, and other items to make for a homey atmosphere. In other words, we want our residents to feel at home and their visitors to feel comfortable. Elder and families alike can have peace of mind knowing every room is linked to an emergency call system. Out conscientious, caring staff is always here to lend a helping hand!

My mother was in this home from around Dec 1 2010 until June 27 2011.
I read a review on the home(before I saw it) and thought it would be awful. It was quite the opposite. They treated her better than I could have.
I never saw the employees ignore or treat patients with anything but respect.
My dad and brothers have the same opinion.
I expected hell and found a wonderful and caring staff. When my mom died staff members were crying with me.
For those of you with pets, they are welcome to visit their love one also.
My dad took their dog every day to visit my mom.
To the staff and administrators of the Great River Care Center all I can say is
God bless, and thank you.

I worked at this facility for a significant amount of time and I want everyone to know the truth about this facility. This facilty does not treat their residents with the dignity and respect that they deserve. DO NOT let their elegance fool you! The care received at this facilty is outrageous. Management personnel have no compassion at all for residents or co-workers. If you are planning on applying at this facility I would follow other options and use this place as a last resort. They treat you well when you first start but that doesnt last long. This facilty is unfair and the elderly deserve better care than what is offered here!

Absolutely Not! My appointment always conflicts with my schedule

Definitely not. They seem to care more about themselves

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.
