My Mama was sent to this facility tonight (08/22/2014) the approximate time being 8pm. I have not had a chance yo visit the center yet. What troubles me right from the start is the clueness of the staff. Numerous telephone calls to find out information proved unsuccessful. The telephone rings endlessly. Then you get transferred to the front desk again. Only to be transferred to numerous units. They say things like: (I.e.,) I do not know if she is a patient. Then they transfer again to another unit to get the same response. Then they tell me what room number and make excuses that the nurse is probably away on an important patient concern. Then I get transferred again. This time is to a voicemail that the admission director is gone for the night/weekend. This very much disturbs me the lack of information they have or have not. From this first encounter with this facility I say this: if you love and care about your relative......DO NOT SEND THEM THERE
If you have support in helping with your loved one please use it. Do research on all the places that you may be considering. Do not make a quick decision. I found out after the fact that they sent my Mama there unbeknownst to me. She was supposed to be discharged home. I do hope this information is helpful to others. As soon as I actually go there I will write a more detailed review.
They were very polite and helpful and made sure that I had everything I needed. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them. It made me that much more confident that I was under the care of a professional. I was left in the appointment room by myself, but they eventually returned.
