My father was sent to this facility for physical therapy to rehabilitate from a fractured pelvis. The social worker (no longer there) decided that he would "never return home" due to demetia/Alzheimers Disease. He was strapped into a wheelchair and diapered. When family members tried to walk with him, they were more often than not scolded and told it was too dangerous. A long battle ensued to obtain his release. Evergreen prefers to keep people that are referred there--and will do so as long as they can be paid. They put every obstacle imaginable in place to delay discharge. The family doctor recommended discharge home more than a MONTH before we could make this happen. To add insult to this, Evergreen sued my father in small claim's court (and won) for the days fees due after insurance would no longer cover.
