Please do not be taken in by all of their"awards". Our loved one entered the facility ambulatory, continent, and oriented. Our loved one was there less than 3 weeks:and left there wheel-chair bound, incontinent, and disoriented. 2 months later they have recovered, but NOT to their prior functioning level. .We were told by local hospital staff that they had been over-medicated. As medications were decreased our loved one's condition improved. Our experience has been that if your loved one is not"easy", they will be over-medicated, and slapped into a wheel-chair with a diaper.

I went to these people, desperate, because of my father's Alzheimer's. He was tossed out of two other nursing homes, because they couldn't handle his combativeness. The people at Country Lawn took him in and handled his condition professionally and compassionately. The staff grew to love my Dad. They looked beyond his illness and saw the human being inside. The whole time he was there, I felt secure knowing that he was getting the best care possible. The staff always called me right away when there was a new order or any event that I needed to know about. They treated my Dad like family, and when he passed on, many of them had tears in their eyes when they spoke to me. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is dealing with a family member who is afflicted with this terrible disease.
