My brother who recently had a stroke was transferred here and I was worried that it was too big but just the opposite they gave him very focused attention and really cared. Sherry the new Manager of Cor Mariae since last September actually accepts calls from family members and is open and a problem solver, she is not defensive so I felt very comfortable talking to her about a few issues and she fixed them immediately. That rarely happends. The therapy team is outstanding Julian, Tisha, Mark who is patient coordinator. All were responsible for my brother learning to speak again and to walk. Brian Anderlick a wonderful night charge Nurse manager actually went to the pharmacy himself to get my brother's prescription filled when it did not make it on Cor Mariae's pharmacy delivery that day. No one does that ... very personal treatment and Brian is rare! James is also an excellent caring compassionate night Nurse who even though is very busy took alot of time to listen to other family members and me to understand my brother through our experiences of him. Julianne the social worker also has helped very much. I would recommend Cor Mariae to all and it all starts with the right leadership. Brava to Sherry!
CM has been on a downward spiral since Presence took over. I have personally witnessed outstanding neglect of patients and ill will and disrespect toward employees who are working as efficiently as they can with severe staff shortages.
