When I was first admitted it was horrible! I was in real bad health and none of us thought I would make it very long. The staff told me that the room I was in the nurses couldn't see the light if I turned it on and if I didn't get a response quickly to just yell out for the nurse because I was right beside the nurses station. The very first night was bad. After yelling for 45 minutes a nurse aid finally came to see what I wanted. I told her that I needed to urinate and she wanted to know if I'd been getting up or using bedpan. I told her I couldn't get up, then she ask if I wanted a diaper on and just use that. I quickly said no I'll try the bedpan. She put me on the bedpan and left me on it for 3 hours. I had my light on and was yelling for a nurse and it took that long. Then she had to do an in and out catch and my bladder was overflowing. The day's wasn't to bad but I still had to yell for at least an hour before I could get any help. Two nights later I told my aid I needed to use the bedpan and she left me on it for over 3 hours. The bad part is there were nurses and aides walking in front of my room and I would holler at them and they just kept on walking, never acknowledged that they heard me. Finally someone came and helped me. The very next night I turned my call light on at 6pm and it was answered at 6am. 2 days later I was moved and don't have any complaints about the care I received and they explained everything that they were going to do and would let me know what the Doctor was doing and why. I don't have any complaints on the care I received while I was on that floor.

They do their jobs.
It isn't easy to work at a NURSING HOME, and be cheerful and full of excitement all the time.
Yes, they do love everyone there, and give them the care they need.
They all work like a family. There is not anything wrong with Belle Meade Nursing Home. If it were such a terrible place, why do you think it is the second rated nursing home in the STATE?!
