Dr Muir put a cervical spine plate in my neck in 1998, I had two herniated disks...4/5 5/6....after my MRI, he recommended surgery asap. I had burning of my spine from my neck to my tail bone. After surgery he told me my spinal cord was being squeezed as much as it could possibly be squeezed without severing it! Yet I had NO numbness, no swelling, no paralysis of any kind. He told me I had literally hundreds of spurs that he just used a "burr" ( like a dental burr) to buff off. I had a tighening feeling of my neck for a while- 4 mths maybe. But I have been great since. I am so thankful I went to Dr Muir!

Dr. Muir is a wonderful surgeon. I herniated two discs in my neck and thus lost strength in my left hand and arm. He put two cadaver bones in, and screwed in a titanium plate to hold the bones in place. My neck pain was gone, my strength was restored and I have never had a problem. This was in June of 1992! 24 years ago! He is an amazing surgeon!
