Dr. Alexander took the time to honestly answer my many questions and concerns. He seems very knowledgable and educated. He has a very good bedside manner as does his nurse. The office is a bit confusing because there are 2 doors with separate areas and I guessed wrong the first time I went in, which flustered me as I was already nervous. Dr. Alexander does all of his colonoscopies at Baptist Hospital, now called St. Thomas and you will have the option of sedation using Versed or Propifol, the latter of which is administered by an anesthesiologist. I must say I felt much more able to cope with the prospect of this yuck x100 test after speaking with Dr. Alexander then before. Also, his prep does not sound as bad as some; although not great either.
