Dr. Mahmood does NOT care about the welfare of his patients! I would NOT recommend him to my worst enemy!

The wait in this office is incredibly long. No matter how early you arrive for your appointment, expect a LONG wait. I have had several appointments with Dr. Mahmood, with the shortest being about 2 1/2 hours and the longest about 6 1/2 past my appointment time. The first appointment that I had with him, I was 30 minutes early as I was asked to come early to fill out paperwork. And I was told, that he was 2 hours behind and to expect a long wait. The next time, I arrived early again for my appointment at 11am, and was told that he was just now seeing his first patient that was scheduled at 8am! Dr. Mahmood is NEVER on time with appointments :(

He does NOT explain your results very well! For example, in one of my appointments he asked me if I was taking vitamin d supplements, and I told him I take one a day. Before leaving my appointment he gave me a copy of my lab results, which he DIDN'T go over with me and I didn't get a chance to read until I got home. It turns out that I had a SERIOUS vitamin D deficiency and he DIDN'T tell me this, he just asked if I took supplements and then prescribed me some vitamins!

Monica his RN is USELESS! I have called with questions regarding medication side effects (hair falling out and skin breaking out), and she didn't call me back for 3 business days, and didn't even put a note in my chart about my call, and despite their being other medication options out there, Dr. Mahmood insisted on keeping me on medications that made my hair fall out and didn't want me to try anything else! When I told Dr. Mahmood this, he didn't seem to care about his RN's not charting when I called or the fact that my hair was falling out and having skin breakouts!

Dr. Mahmood also prescribed me another medication, at twice the strength recommended for a woman, I know this because a close friend of mine is a physician. I had told him what I was prescribed and he told me to be careful of XXX side effects, and what does did he give you because it is suggested that women start at 5mg's and men at 10mg's and then build up to a higher does as needed. He started me out at 10mg and I never bothered taking it! I looked it up online, and the recommended dosage for a woman is 5mg's! I barely weigh 100lbs, and was afraid this man was going to KILL me with medications!

I have also called about other medications, because the doctor didn't specify how to take them. I was told by the RN to take them all together, come to find out 2 months later Dr. Mahmood asked me if I was still taking one in the morning and one at night! I told him that I had called for specific instructions because it was not specified on the bottle and the RN - MONICA told me to take them together, so I hadn't been taking them correctly for over 2 months!

The communication in this office between the staff and doctor seems overall terrible. Based on my experiences with him, I am afraid to be treated by this man, and would not recommend him to anyone!

The doctor's staff is NEVER welcoming and the office is not all that clean. In one of my appointments, I was told to go to room #2, the RN did not come with me, and when I went it, the paper on the bed was messed up and dirty, it freaked me out that they didn't even other CLEANING the room, before putting another patient in the room!

Healthstar does offer a patient portal where you can read the summary of your visit. When I look at what he says he does for me in our short visits, after my LONG waits to be seen I am shocked! Because he does not go over HALF of the things, he says that he is, and of course he is BILLING my insurance for all of these services! This man is a CROOK and a LIAR! He is a terrible doctor!

If your doctor sends you a referral to Dr. Mahmood, PLEASE insist they find you another doctor and avoid the nightmare that I have experienced with this man! This man does NOT care about his patients!

They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. They are nice but WAY overbooked and the staff is clearly overworked. They should really allow for more time in between appointments if they want to keep any business. I know that they have a lot of clients here so I understand that they many not remember my name every time, but I am always really impressed when I walk in the door and am greeted by name. They always try to make the effort and for this I am grateful. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding.
