Scott J. Petit, MD, earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his general surgery internship and residency and his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, and joined Prisma Health Surgery in 2001. Dr. Petit’s interests include minimally invasive valve surgery and thoracoscopic lung surgery. He performed the first Heartport mitral valve surgery in South Carolina.Services
