It was very important to me to come here and write this review because I am hoping that people who need help will read this and consider visiting Dr. Cassone. I really feel like I wouldn't have been able to get proper psychiatric care in Johnstown, PA if it weren't for him. Both my husband and I see him and we both think he is great.

Dr. Cassone spends more time with his patients (my last visit with him was over an hour) than most other psychiatrists. He has been in practice for a long time and really knows what he is doing. I was told by someone else that he will bend over backwards for those of us who are really seeking help but that he does NOT tolerate people fishing for drugs. He has gone above and beyond for me so far. He listens to my questions and concerns and if we don't see eye to eye on something, he explains his reasoning and we come to an agreement together.

It is also worth mentioning that Dr. Cassone is very good at returning patients calls personally and in a timely fashion. The last time I called him and left a message he returned my call within the hour. Most other docs in the area don't even have much face-to-face time (they will pawn you off on an assistant) let alone a willingness to personally call and talk to you.

I no longer feel hopeless about my mental health care. I finally feel like I have a doctor who I can rely on. This, to me, is priceless.
