I'm a guy. Most guys avoid the doctor. But when work says get a physical or pack your bags, you don't really have a choice. I've visited Dr. Caldwell for the past 12 years for my yearly physicals for work and insurance. Some days are busier than others, but I've never had to spend more than an hour or so in the office (that's waiting, getting tests done, and getting my physical). On busier days, you might get called back to get weighed and measured and have the blood pressure and other tests done, and then head back to the waiting room until the doc is available; but most of the time you're called back and then go right to the exam room. Depending on the year, I've had a simple physical to one that had an EKG, hearing, vision, lung test - and the staff has done a good job. I've been seen by the physician's assistants and by the doctor, and both are equally professional and thorough. I started visiting Dr Caldwell when I lived in the Wyoming Valley area and even though I've moved further out of the area, I still travel back (about an hour) because of the level of satisfaction I've had from this office.

The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy. They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods. I was disappointed that their staff didn't seem to respect them very much. They weren't disrespectful but I could tell they didn't have a very good relationship. Almost every time I visit, I have to remind them who I am, why I'm there, and what my circumstances are. There was only a couple of times where the staff was actually able to answer my questions. Most of the time, they'd refer me to their boss or another staff member.
