Ann Gelke does not listen to her patients. What could be a worse trait in a psychoanalyst?! I was brought to her when I was a teenager. I told her that I had been raped and sexually abused. She did not report the abuse. I grew to believe that my memories of abuse were false- signs of mental disease. About 5 years after leaving her care, I learned that other kids had been subsequently abused by the same person and under the same circumstances as I had. I blame Ann Gelke for allowing this to happen. She made me feel like I was a nut and a slut. In fact, I was a child in need of protection and help. She not only failed to advocate for me, she enabled the abuser. I think that it's terrible that she is allowed to continue to practice medicine with children.
