This was my very first experience of having surgery. I would consult with Dr. W. Fowler if I needed to have sugery again.

I was introduced to Dr. Fowler after a middle of the night trip to the ER. I was struck by how EVERYONE we came in contact with in preperation for my gallbladder surgery spoke so highly of Dr. Fowler. Everyone from the surgical nurse to the admitting physician commented about what a good person he was and what a great surgeon he was. And they were right! Dr. Fowler was very clear about the risks of the surgery and explained in plain english why it was still highly recommended in my case. Even though my surgery had to be done with very little notice Dr. Fowler took the time to talk with me about the steps of the procedure and all of various possible outcomes. He was factual but comforting. The best part of my experience was how thorough Dr. Fowler was even making a point to come back to the hospital at 8:30pm to see for himself that I was doing ok because of an unusual result in my labs/blood work. I agree with what everyone said...Dr. Fowler is a great doctor!
