Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover enough of Dr. Stephens' fee to continue seeing him. I had sessions with him three or four times. He made me a little nervous (could be our age, class, and gender differences), but he's one of the smartest psychiatrists I've ever seen regarding prescribing and explaining an illness and choosing a medication plan. It might take a while to get used to his cool demeanor. Have been trying to find a rational doctor of psychiatry for over thirty years. PTSD symptoms began when I was a child and my parents sought help for me beginning then. Stephens and one other doctor rate the highest in my book. I trust him.

What a quack. Changes medication left and right. Would never go back, He is semi-retired and does not care about the patient. He only cares about the money so he makes it so you have to keep going and going.

Stay away.
